We offer field trips for school groups, scouts and other groups. Groups as small as 5 students to 120 students have enjoyed visiting and learning from our educators. Many 4th grade classes visit every year and preschoolers love the hands-on nature of our exhibits!
School Year Field Trips are from September 1 – May 31 – these are very structured, with stations that groups rotate to. A presentation about the Chesapeake Bay may be included.
Summer Time Field Trips are from June 1 – Aug 31 and can be either Unguided Visits during our normal operating hours (Wed – Sun, 11-4) or Early Opening Visits just for your group. Staff are at the Nautical Classroom, Touch Tank, and Exhibit Hall, to help your group learn. General admission for summer of 2019 is $7 a person. Group admission is $6 a person (must contact us at least 2 weeks before date to secure this price). Early opening visits are $9 a person (must contact us at least 2 week before to arrange this).
